Things you shouldn't screw up

Justin (PerBlue's CEO) just completed a five part series on his blog called "Things you shouldn't screw up". These are a collection of posts featuring many of the things Justin (and PerBlue) have learned over the last few years about building a company. Here's the CliffsNotes version of what's covered:
1. Build the right product
2. Sell that product
3. Don't run out of cash
4. Don't let yourself ruin your company
5. Staff for talent and commitment
So if you're looking for some advice on starting a company, definitely check his posts out.

Also, just a reminder to vote for Parallel Kingdom in the Best App Ever Awards. Voting closes January 31 (this Sunday), so make sure you vote! If we win, we'll give out a sweet prize to our players.

New Year, New Stuff

So it's been a busy last few weeks. The Holidays and Parallel Kingdom have kept us occupied. Here's a little update of whats been going on:

Everyone had a relaxing few days over Christmas and was able to visit some friends and family.

We had the 2 year PerBlue Anniversary party on Dec 30. Yup, PerBlue was officially established about 2 years ago. Lot's of desserts, Leinenkugels, Starcraft, and Age of Empires was had by all at the celebration.

And then we said good bye to 2009 and hello to 2010. PerBlue saw many great things happen in 2009 (including 2 Ages of PK launched, plus more), with hopefully many more good things to come in 2010.

Justin was recently featured in an interview on fellow Madison Entrepreneur Nathan Lustig's blog. Be sure to check it out.

Justin has been working on his website and blog, get over there and check it out to give him some feedback! I think it looks pretty good...

Parallel Kingdom has also just been nominated in 4 categories for the Best App Ever Awards. Be sure to vote for PK by January 31!

We definitely have an exciting few months ahead of us. Posts probably won't be coming out as regularly as they did when we first started this, but subscribe to our feed (however you choose) and keep an eye on our shenanigans. Good things...
